We will check the spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your novel-length manuscript, as well as watch for such things as misused words, words that are overused, redundancies, and inconsistencies.

Fees:  $500.00 for a manuscript up to 60,000 words.  Longer manuscripts are charged the $500 base rate plus $8.00/1,000 additional words.  For example, the fee for an 80,000 word manuscript would be $660.00.  Four week turn-around; expedited service available for an additional $250.00.

Workshops and Presentations

Need a guest speaker at your seminar or convention?  Interested in hosting a writer's workshop?  Kimberly Phifer, the owner of Forsooth Publishing and a former University Professor, is available to relay the inspiring story of Legacy's journey from small press to major publishing house.  She can also provide information about the ins and outs of self-publishing and successful book promotion.  In her writing workshops, she is able to provide assistance with query letters, eliminating common writing errors, and successful self-editing.  Contact editor@forsoothpublishing.com to discuss the possibilities.

Fees:  Speaker's fee and travel expenses.

Biography:  Kimberly Phifer holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota and a graduate degree in law from the University of Minnesota Law School.  She started her career as a private practice attorney, eventually becoming a corporate attorney and then a tenured university professor.  In 2008, she launched Forsooth Publishing in order to publish her then fifteen-year-old daughter's novel, Legacy.  With the goal of obtaining a traditional publishing contract, she garnered numerous five star industry reviews and several awards for the book, and secured a literary agent for Cayla.  Rights to Legacy and the remaining two novels in the trilogy, Allegiance and Sacrifice, have since been sold to a major publishing house.
